Hartfield Country Club

Hole 16 - Par 4 - 325m

From the tee...

The 16th hole at Hartfield is a 325m dogleg to the left par 4. It requires a tee shot of approximately 190m which should be directed down the middle to right side of the fairway to give you the best angle into the green.  Club selection off the 16th tee is very important as there is a large water hazard located through the fairway and any shot that is over hit will find this hazard.

Water hazard...

A water hazard is also located on the left side of the fairway.  Any shot that is hit poorly off the tee will be blocked out by the large trees that are found on the left side of the fairway.

The approach...

The approach to the 16th green will require a shot of approximately 135m. The green itself is well protected by large bunkers on the front right and the right hand side of the green and also grassy hollows located at the front, left and back left hand side of the green.  The safest approach is toward the middle of the green which has a large mound located at the back of the green that acts as a backstop for any shots that are over hit.

On the green...

Once on the putting green you are confronted with a surface that slopes just slightly from the back to front however the slope becomes more pronounced as you move to the right hand side of the putting surface.
