The 17th hole at Hartfield is a 342m dogleg to the left par 4. It requires a tee shot of approximately 200m which should be directed down the middle to middle left side of the fairway. A shot of this length and direction will position you on the middle of the fairway just short of some fairway bunkers which are located down the right side of the fairway.
This will leave you a second shot of approximately 140m to a green that slopes very severely from back to front and right to left.
The green itself is well protected by a large bunkerat the frontright hand side of the green, 2 smaller bunkers at the back of the green and a grassy hollow on the left hand side of the green. Your approach shot here should be directed to toward the left middle of the green as the aim on all your approach shots is to leave the ball below the hole to make for easier putting.
