The Management Committee this afternoon are responding to a directive from The Minister for Health and Golf Australia which states that golf may not be played in groups of two or more unless the players normally reside together.
Hence, we have made the difficult decision to close the golf course and practice facilities effective as of midnight tonight until further notice.
In the last 72 hours the situation has evolved quickly – and where we previously understood we could play this weekend, this has now changed.
The course and facility is therefore closed until further advice from the relevant authorities is received.
Thank you all in anticipation for your ongoing support for this magnificent club. We need that support now more than ever. I would also like to thank our staff and volunteers (in all areas) who have, under incredible duress prepared for the inevitable.
