Happy days for young Keithie. Acing the 4th on Tuesday 28th March – Well done sunshine.
It’s Keith 4th hole in one, still chasing John Robson…
A prefect day for a game of golf.
Once again, thank you to John Port for sponsoring this day.
After a break of many years, Hartfield has fielded a team in the West Australia Business Ladies Golf Association. (WABLGA) Pennant season.
Being the new kids on the block we decided to host the associations opening day.
RESULTS SHEET FOR WABLGA SUNDAY 5032023
Match Committee Newsletter 14/2/2023
Due to limited space on the practice chipping green adjacent to the first tee members are asked to be mindful of the other members and only use a maximum of 6 balls if more than one member is practicing. This will be reviewed once the new practice area adjacent to the tenth tee is open.
A temporary out of bounds has been marked along the area of work on the right-hand side of the tenth hole. This is to protect the new practice area and provide greater safety for the staff working in that area.
Nick and his team have done a fantastic job firming up the fairways. As of Saturday 18/2/2023, there will no longer be preferred lies in the ‘General Area of play’ (formerly known as through the green). This will allow the Match Committee time to mark any appropriate areas as GUR.
All groups should maintain their place in the field. As of Monday 13/2/2023, any group that falls more than a hole behind the group in front may be asked by the course marshall and/or proshop staff to split into two 2Balls until they catch up to the group in front of them. Any group who takes longer than four hours and thirty minutes to complete their round will be “noted” with repeat offenders posted on the local rules blackboard and circulated via the club newsletter.
There has been a spike in the number of reports that the Match Committee has received about golf balls being adopted by a new owner whilst they are still in play by the actual owner. Players should clearly mark their golf ball so that it can be easily identified as “Yours”. Before adopting a new golf ball, players should ensure that the stray ball is in fact lost by the previous owner. This will help alleviate any frustrations and penalties applied to the original owner of the golf ball. Common adoption sites are the 1st and 7th, 2nd and 6th, 2nd and 5th, 5th and 8th,8th and 9th,9th and 18th, 10th and 13th, 11th and 13th, and 13th and 14th. Please make every effort to find the golf balls original owner before adopting it as yours.
6. The ground staff are getting very frustrated with players moving sprinklers on the golf course and not replacing them. The sprinklers are placed in areas that the ground staff deem need more water to enhance your overall golfing experience, so if you must move them, please ensure that you replace them once you’ve played your shot.

Golf carts are not allowed to be driven in the rough. Leave your cart on the edge of the fairway when looking for errant golf balls. Golf carts are also not to be driven in close proximity to green complexes.
For those players who use the MiScore App, if you tap the time on the top left corner, a three (3) minute countdown timer will start. This timer should be used whenever searching for golf balls.
Members are reminded to report to the proshop no later than 15 minutes prior to your start time.
Yours in golf
