Welcome to Hartfield Robert Williams.
The Hartfield Management Committee is happy to announce that Robert Williams will start as the newly employed Hartfield Golf Course superintendent on May 12, 2025.
Rob has a strong background in understanding the climatic conditions the course is subjected to, having completed his apprenticeship at the Hillview Golf Course. Once he completed his apprenticeship, he moved into the 2IC role. When Mike Healy moved to Mandurah Country Club, Rob progressed into the superintendent role.
He has been in the golf course industry for 34 years, accumulating a wide range of skills and knowledge as Superintendent at Panaga Golf Club, Brunei, Borneo, and Assistant Greenkeeper at Ashburnham Golf Club, Wales, which hosted the Welsh Open Strokeplay. Assistant Greenkeeper at Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, which hosted the Ryder Cup Wales Senior Open. On returning to Australia, he worked as a Foreman at the Karrinyup Golf Club, then he spent six years as a Turf Management Lecturer at South Metropolitan TAFE, training apprentices, before returning to Karrinyup as a foreman for the past seven years.
When you meet Rob, please welcome him to Hartfield. We are confident that he will continue the high standards that have been set in course presentation for our members.
Regards John
