Hartfield Country CLub – Senior Classic Results

Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Hartfield Country Club Senior Open this past Thursday and Friday.

Well done to Greg Rhodes (Coomella GC) for an impressive two day score of 145 and to Carmen Palframan (LKCC) two day score for finishing with 159. Well played!

The Men’s Nett winner was Michael Lucas (Harvey GC) finishing with a two day score of 144.

Men’s Stableford winner was Peter Phillips, who secured victory with a total of 68 points.

The best round on day 1  went to Gavin Doull with 38 points, while the best score in the second round was earned by Michael Conroy with 34 points. 

The Women’s Nett winner was Jo Calvo (Gosnells GC) with a two-day total of 146.

Janet Grimoldy (Cottesloe GC) claimed victory in the stableford event with 65 points.

Congratulations to Michele Monahan for the best round on Thursday with 30 points and to Jill Millington  for topping Friday’s round with 34 points.

A sincere thank you to Michael Dunsmore for his ongoing support of this event, and to Chris Holmes and John Coyne for their outstanding work as starters and marshals over both days.

Volunteers Needed- Senior Amateur Championships of WA

Hartfield is excited to be hosting the Senior Championships of WA from Monday, March 24th to Wednesday, March 26th. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a prestigious event, and we are looking for volunteers to assist throughout the duration of the championships.

Volunteer shifts will be as follows:

• Monday, March 24th: Morning shift
• Tuesday, March 25th & Wednesday, March 26th: Afternoon shifts

If you are available and interested in helping, we would love to have you on board to ensure the event runs smoothly.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jim Whyte, who left us on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, at the age of 79.

Jim was a cherished member of our community for over 46 years. His dedication, kindness, and warmth touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be profoundly missed.

A funeral service in Jim’s honor will be held at 10:00 AM on April 3rd at Bowra & O’Dea Hilton.
